Hamburger Steak With Onions And Gravy Recipe


Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 Egg
  • ¼ c bread crumbs
  • ⅛ tsp ground black pepper
  • ½ tsp seasoned salt
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 c thinly sliced onion
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 c beef broth
  • 1 tbsp cooking sherry
  • ½ tsp seasoned salt

Instructions:

Add the ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, onion powder, Worcestershire

sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until well combined.

Make 8 balls out of the mixture and slightly press each into a patty.

Place a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium.

Add oil and allow it to become hot.

Add the patties and onion. Cook each side of the patties for 4 minutes or until brown.

Remove the patties from the skillet and place them on a clean plate.

Add flour into the skillet with the onions. Stir until well mixed and make sure

to scrape the bottom of the skillet to get the brown bits.

Add the sherry, beef broth, and salt. Allow the mixture to simmer for 5 minutes or until the texture becomes thick.

Reduce the heat to low, then put the patties back to the skillet.

Cover the skillet and simmer for 15 minutes.

Remove the skillet from the heat. Serve and enjoy!
